North Carolina Highway 69
North Carolina Highway 69 (NC 69) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It runs north–south from the Georgia state line to Hayesville, west of Chatuge Lake. Route description NC 69 runs from the Georgia border south of Hayesville and along the western shore of Chatuge Lake. The route crosses U.S. Route 64 (US 64) before entering downtown Hayesville, where it meets its northern terminus at a roundabout with US 64 Bus. NC 69 is also part of Corridor A, in the Appalachian Development Highway System (ADHS), which is part of Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC). Cranberry is an unincorporated community in Avery County, North Carolina, United States. The community was founded in 1850 and was named after Cranberry Creek, which flows in the area. The community is located one mile south from the town of Elk Park, along US 19E. Entirely in the High Country, it runs from US 19E, in Ingalls, to the Virginia state line, near Helton. Route description The nature of NC 194 is one of a route that primarily serves local traffic. NC 194 may be thought of as a collection of individual routings under one number, as each segment serves its own local traffic and local needs—it is quicker to use other routes to get to another segment of NC 194 than to use NC 194 itself. It does not take the most direct route possible due to its endpoints and destinations, but instead meanders through the mountains, serving predominantly rural communities in the High Country to provide access to outside communities. North Carolina Highway 213
North Carolina Highway 213 (NC 213) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The highway connects Marshall with Walnut and Mars Hill. Route description NC 213 begins at the intersection of Walnut Drive (SR 1439) and Barnard Road (SR 1151) in the community of Walnut. Going southeast, along Walnut Drive, it connects and overlaps with US 25 and US 70 towards Marshall. At the Hayes Run Road interchange, NC 213 departs from US 25/US 70 and proceeds northeast towards Mars Hill and passing through Petersburg along the way. As NC 213 enters Mars Hill, it becomes Cascade Street as it goes through Mars Hill College. At the town's Main Street, it changes to Carl Eller Road. North Carolina Highway 7 (NC 7) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of North Carolina. Entirely within Gaston County, it connects the towns of Lowell, McAdenville, and Belmont with the city of Gastonia. Hendersonville, North Carolina
Hendersonville is a city in Henderson County, North Carolina, United States. It is south of Asheville and is the county seat of Henderson County. Like the county, the city is named for 19th-century North Carolina Supreme Court Chief Justice Leonard Henderson. The population was 13,137 at the 2010 census and was estimated in 2019 to be 14,157. Introduction Prior to the Treaty of Hopewell, the land that now is occupied by Hendersonville was settled by Cherokee tribes. Following this treaty, white settlers entered the region, eventually taking the land of what is now Henderson County in full from the original inhabitants.
